Our Origins – 1936

In the year 1936, Hossein Mahdian Rad was designing window displays for Tehran’s most renowned fabric store. He transformed textiles into blossoms, arranging them on mannequins with such artistry that the floral creations drew widespread admiration.

Their popularity bloomed so brightly that he opened a boutique called Gol-e Sorkh—“The Red Rose”—on Lalehzar Street, a location that held significant cultural prominence in Tehran at the time.

Guided by a profound and instinctive love for flowers, he flourished swiftly in the art he had made his own. Two years later, he relocated to Se-Rah Shah Street, where his designs captured international attention—featured in the pages of ELLE magazine in France.

Through a style that was both singular and unmistakably his own, he earned the admiration of Iran’s royal family, artists, actors, and national television.

His work garnered numerous letters of recognition, each one a testament to the elegance he brought to fabric, and the soul he stitched into every petal.

Timeless Elegance, Reimagined

Today, nearly seven decades later, this artistic legacy endures through the continued work of Mersedeh Mahdian, who has joined the Golesorkh Maison team — a place where timeless elegance is harmonized with deeply personal creative expression.
